Sugar bugs

So today was X's very first Dentist appt. (well, besides the emergency visit to the Dentist when X chipped one of his front teeth). I figured I wouldn't tell X too much about the visit until the day of, as to not start a barrage of questions, or even weeks of X stressing out about it. That turned out to be a good Mommy guess, since X started to freak out about the Dentist, and not wanting a shot. Again with the shots! I don't know where he's gotten this from, but he's completely and utterly obsessed with shots! At breakfast though we all decided to place our bets on how many teeth X would have. X's guess was 13, Little L guessed 19 (although I'm not sure how he knew that number), Daddy guessed 18, and Mommy guessed 20. So after a lot of convincing, and perhaps a few threats of, "If you don't go to the Dentist X then we'll have to yank all your teeth out of your head so that you don't get any cavities!" me and X headed off to the Dentist alone, leaving Little L with Daddy at home, but I'm sure that's a story all on its own!
The office was absolutely AMAZING! Clarksville Pediatric Dentistry was probably one of the nicest offices I've ever seen. There were video game machines in the waiting room, a separate room with stadium type seating with a 50" flat TV, and coffee and water with lime in the waiting room for parents and kids to enjoy. The only downside was the fact that we had an appt. time, showed up the requested 15 min. prior, and still waited a half hour past our appt. time to get called to the back. So 45 min. after we showed up, X's name got called, and we made our way through the back of the office, into a private room. I assume they reserve these rooms for the youngest children, and also for those with more invasive problems; cavities, root canals, etc. They have individual flat screen TV's in the each private room, with ear phones, and tons of different options for the kids to watch. X chose to watch "Kung Fu Panda", which is not the greatest choice since he is supposed to head to the movie theater with Daddy tomorrow to see the free movie, sans Little L.
Here's X checking out his new toothbrush they gave him right when he showed up.

The ladies were all very friendly, and all VERY good with X, which made me more comfortable with the experience, which I'm sure helped X out with his own nervousness. They started off by flossing X's teeth, and then using the spin head brush to buff his teeth. X was given the option of bubble gum, or chocolate chip cookie dough flavor cleaning buff stuff....... er, whatever its called! X chose bubblegum. I think X's favorite part was when his first hygienist showed him all of the neat toys, and then let him play with the "water gun", whiche he shot in a continuous spray across the room.... I'm not sure she really expected him to hold the button for so long. Whoops, next time I hope she remembers! :) The "sucker" was a huge hit as well, X LOVED watching his spit suck from his mouth, and into the clear plastic tube. Disgusting, but that's a boy for you I guess! The second hygienist came in to clean all of the "sugar bugs" off of his teeth. He wasn't a huge fan of this hygienist, but it might possibly have to do with the fact that we weren't talking to, or about X, instead talking more about Hawaii, and just like a Barrus male he wasn't happy unless the conversation was directed to or about him! Hehehehe! The Dentist came in to check out X's teeth, and to do a count. Well, Mommy was right.... AGAIN! 20 teeth in that mouth! Woot woot!!
