Little L is finally a boy!

So Little L is just about 30 months old and has only had 2 minimal trims in his life, one done by me, and another done by a "hairstylist". For the last year or more Mommy and Daddy have been dealing with people thinking Little L was a girl. I don't find it that annoying, but Daddy has a huge issue with it, and I can't really blame him! I decided that it was time to get Little L's hair cut, I have been waiting for it to get long enough so that I could get a haircut that I would like. Plus I wanted to do something nice for Daddy since he's been amazingly patient with me about Little L's hair, and if you know Big L you know he's not that patient!

I got a referral to a professional salon and made an appointment. As the days got closer I got more and more nervous. After X's first haircut I cried for almost 2 days straight! I was so upset with the result. I was pregnant with Little L at the time, so I know that didn't help, but keep in mind that I'm pregnant with this new child, so there was a high likelihood of me crying again!

The night before Little L's haircut we went out to dinner and the waitress said, "Did the pretty little girl enjoy her dinner?". That sealed it for me! I couldn't let this go on forever, it might give Little L a complex!

The next morning we dropped X off at school and headed to the salon. When we got there a woman asked if it was his first haircut, and I told her yes. She said, "Well, she's such a pretty little girl! I'm sure she'll do fine!". I laughed and told her that her comment was exactly why I was getting HIS hair cut! Poor lady! She seemed so embarrassed!

I had a pocket full of lollipops, which made Little L happy as a clam and very content!

I was very impressed with the service I got at the salon and will definitely take the boys there for their future haircuts. The stylist (owner) took her time with his hair, and I didn't feel rushed or that I was annoying her with my requests. We were in there for almost half an hour and Little L did amazing!
Here are some after pictures, and with following posts I'm sure you'll see the difference even more.
