More from my little Picasso

Little L got sick this past tuesday, with a fever of 104. He was on antibiotics so I got worried and took him into the doctors to make sure everything was ok. While we were sitting in the waiting room Little L was being very whiney, wanting to be picked up and held, and then wanting down again. I knew he was acting pretty funny and thought to myself, wouldn't that suck if he vomited right now?! About 5 minutes later, that's exactly what he did! Unfortunately he vomited all over my lap! It was horrible! X decided that he wanted to tell everyone in the office what he could find in the vomit, "I see bananas, and raisins, and milk!". So I cleaned him up, lucky for him he had a change of clothes in the car, unfortunately for me, I did not! So I sat in my vomit pants for over an hour. Every person I walked past thought I had peed my pants, they'd look at me, at my pants, look away, and then do a sharp double take staring at my pants. I'd then tell them that it was vomit, and they'd give me an even stranger look, then I'd tell them that it was Little L's vomit, and only then would they laugh and give me an, "I'm so sorry" look!
Little L has continued with his fevers, so on friday I had to get him some blood work done, and a chest x-ray. I dropped X off with his Daddy so that I would have one less kid to deal with. When I came back to pick up X he had some very interesting artwork to show me. The first one is of Little L, X explained to me that the pink on Little L's shirt is vomit, the yellow below Little L is also vomit, and the green and pink on the yellow drawings are Little L's shoes with vomit on them. X told me that it was from when Little L was at the Doctors office and he vomited everywhere.
Then came the second picture, this one he said was of me. The pink on top is my hair, X says I have "lotsa hair!". My blue shirt of course, and my green pants, always a fashion yes! Oh, the yellow you ask on my green pants?? VOMIT! Yeah, that's right folks, my little Picasso depicted the events at the Doctors office only days before. Cherish these times I guess!

Like Father Like Son

Boys will be boys, especially boys born to Big L! I went in to check on the boys before heading to bed and I found Little L sleeping like this. He is obsessed with play guns, and every time something on TV has a dinosaur, or monster he runs for his guns to "boom boom" them.

X at Daddys work, he was amazed with all the guns there.

When I see you smile

Not the best picture of the little man, but Baby J is smiling! He started at about 4 weeks old, the earliest of all the boys. The older 2 were very serious little babies, it took a lot of work to get a smile out of them, but Baby J is always ready with a smile and a coo. He's even starting to laugh a little. He is a dream baby!

Nashville flood May 2010

Record breaking flooding occurred in early May 2010 throughout Nashville, Clarksville, and surrounding areas. There were homes and cars lost, massive amounts of damage to museums, malls, etc. Worst of all a number of lives were lost. Our home sits in front of a creek which you normally cannot see through the tree lines. We were lucky that our house was untouched, but our neighbor was so lucky. The creek rose so quickly, and so high it took down the end of his fence, and came up halfway of our yard. Here are a couple pictures of our backyard.

The Cake-aria Expands!

Mommys birthday was upon us, so Daddy and the boys decided to make me a cake. What an adventure I'm sure that was, lucky for Mommy she was out of the house running some errands so she didn't have to freak out every 2 minutes about all the mess they were making! Daddy did remember the blog and took some pictures.

Picture updates

A few new pictures of Baby J

Pizza Pie!

I found a recipe for homemade pizza sauce on my favorite site, allrecipes.com. I found little pizza crusts at walmart and told the boys they could make their own pizzas for dinner. X was very excited, he loves art projects and considers making food an art project as well. Here are some pictures of Daddy, X, and Little L making their pizzas.

The results were....... appetizing?

X's pizza
Daddys pizza
Little L's pizza
I have never seen them eat so much pizza before, but they finished the entire thing! Probably because they were so proud that they had made it all on their own.

Beautfiul Images

The boys went in to have some professional pictures done and they turned out FABULOUS! I'm so happy with the results and will forever cherish them! The boys are so handsome and grown up, and Baby J is just so stinkin' adorable!

Easter fun

What a mess they made decorating their eggs! I found a transformers egg coloring set, so of course that being X's new favorite movie, I had to get that one! They had a great time decorating their eggs with Daddy, Mommy, and Grandma. Daddy even got in on the action!

They really got into finding the eggs this year, and were so excited that they got to eat the worlds largest chocolate rabbit for breakfast! All Big L's idea, so boys make sure to thank Daddy for making Mommy loosen up throughout the years and let you guys be kids every once in a while.

Baby J has arrived!

Baby J has finally arrived! Born March 27, 2010 at 2:17 am.What an adventure his birth was! He was 3 days overdue, and I was induced because of pregnancy induced hypertension. The labor itself went very quickly, although with a few complications. Baby J's heart rate kept dropping with every contraction, so I had to be put on oxygen. When I got my epidural my entire body started to itch all over, which made me miserable! When they broke my water they discovered meconium in the fluid, so they called in a pediatrician just in case. In the end everything turned out fine, and baby J was born a VERY healthy 9lbs 11oz. The 2nd in size to X's 9lbs 12oz. and poor Little L being the runt of the family at 9lbs, if you could call 9lbs a runt! The boys LOVE their Baby J, especially X who can't stop touching him, even though he's been told to 1.3 million times now!

T&A.....Get your minds out of the gutter!

Tonsil and adenoid surgery folks! X has been getting strep like it is going out of season! The poor boy has caught strep 8 times in the last 6 months. He also started school 6 months ago, so once I did the algebra of it all I figured out that there must be a carrier in his class. Which means that he will continue to catch strep if we do nothing about it, so we were hoping that having his tonsils removed would help, but there was no guarantee on that one!
We went in at 8:30 am March 10,2010. They had X put on an adorable patient gown and hair net of sorts. While the Dr. and anesthesiologist explained what was going to be happening X got to enjoy some early morning cartoons.

They wheeled him away about 9:20 and X did really well, no crying, or calling out for mom. I on the other hand was FREAKING out! I headed out to the waiting room and sat there impatiently waiting for news, breaking down and crying every once in a while because I was so worried.... And because I was a million years pregnant! The surgery took about 45 minutes and when they called me back they told me that once they had gotten into the surgery they saw that his adenoids were very large, so they removed those as well. They had me sit down in my 38 weeks pregnant glory and let me hold X as he started waking up from the anesthesia. X had been put under anesthesia twice before and had never reacted the way he did this time. He was completely out of it and was crying and wailing up a storm. It took him well over 30 minutes to relax and realize where he was and who was with him. They gave him a bunch of pain meds and we headed home about an hour later with me given the information that he would more then likely be out of it for the rest of the day, and that the pain meds they sent him home with would know him out when we gave it to him. NOT!!! Less then an hour after we got home X was ready to start running around with Little L. I had to force, threaten, and bribe him to stay still for the day! X recovered very quickly from surgery, and never once knocked out from the pain meds...... In fact, it did the opposite and wired him up!
Since the surgery X has caught strep twice!! ARGHHH!!! So the surgery in the end was all for nothing, although for the first time in 4 years X is finally sleeping through the night! He is sleeping much more comfortably at night, able to breath easier finally!

A bowling party for X

It was finally time for X's birthday party. We waited until Daddy got back from school to celebrate. All of X's friends were invited to enjoy some bowling, pizza, cake, and ice cream.

The boys enjoying some pizza with their friends.

X blowing out his candles on his helmet cake.

Since the party was so late in the evening we decided to just have X open his presents at home the next day. That night after the boys went to bed Daddy got X's 4 wheeler out and put it together.

Yes, that is Big L drinking wine while doing manly work! X enjoyed all of his new gifts, and I appreciated all of the books, because it meant easy clean up!
