Little L is now onto scar number 3 on his face. While at Chick Fil A Little L found the one tiny single spot that wasn't covered in foam and slammed his chin onto it. That meant a rush down to the ER for some liquid stitch before hauling butt out to the airport to pick Big L up. At the rate Little L is getting scars, he's not going to have an inch of untouched face by his 20th birthday.

Superbowl and Trophies
You may remember from a previous post that X's football team made it to the Superbowl. The boys did really well, but unfortunately lost it at the end. This still put them in 2nd place which meant that they got a trophy at the end of the game. Sweet X asked the man handing out trophies for one for his brother, me and L laughed and told X that they were only for the football players. The man handing out the trophies heard what was being said, and actually came back with a spare trophy for Little L. Little L was so excited!
A couple of weeks later X's football team had their end of the year banquet. They got to swim, and play, and enjoy some food and cake. They were also given their trophies and medals. Me and Big L were surprised at the end when X was awarded an extra trophy for "Most Improved". X really worked hard this year, and enjoyed every minute of football. He very rarely complained, and looked forward to going to practices and games, even when he was being pushed on the ground by kids larger then him. Maybe there is a football career in his future???
I set up 2 floating shelves in the boys bedroom for their trophies. They were caught a couple weeks ago destroying one of their trophies. They unscrewed them into about 6 pieces. So now their trophies are look but don't touch items!

Little L's first cleaning
As most everyone knows, Little L can be a real..... lets say, pain in the ass. He is stubborn, cranky, and opinionated. I say he gets it from his Daddy, I don't care what he says! I wasn't really looking forward to having to take him to his first cleaning, and was actually planning on Big L taking him instead. Last minute Big L was sent out of town, completely ruining my plan. That meant it was up to me..... Yay me!
After dropping X off at school, we headed up to his appointment. Once we checked in and were sitting in the waiting room I began to realize how screwed I was! Every 5 minutes or so a kid was brought back for his/her appointment...... and by being brought back, I mean they were dragged, kicking, screaming, fighting, and crying the whole way. Poor Little L who before all this was happily playing with the video games in the waiting room, came hauling ass over to me, and held onto my arm for dear life. I wasn't even going in for the cleaning, and I was scared! After about 45 minutes of this, they came to take Little L back for his cleaning. At first they wanted to take him back without me, but I convinced them that it probably wasn't a great idea, I also think that Little L's death grip on my hand, and the look of fear in his eyes probably helped to sway them as well.
Little L wasn't being very cooperative at first, but after about 5 minutes he relaxed and they were able to get his cleaning done. He did so well in fact, that other kids were being brought past the room so they could see an example of how they should act, and that the dentist wasn't as bad as they were thinking. So proud of him!!!
