Baby J had his 4 month well baby check, weighing in at almost 19lbs, and 26 in. long he is more then healthy enough, his doctor however wants me to give him more iron. So that means one of 2 choices, the first being a vitamin drop, which looks and smells disgusting. Baby J was none to pleased about it the first time I gave it to him, so I went with option b, baby rice cereal. Here's how that went down.

Pool time
To say its been hot lately would be a real understatement! With temperatures reaching 105 and above, and the heat index reading well over 115, its been MISERABLE out! I thought that the pool would be a nice cooling relief for the boys. They had a great time, and even more so because their friend Matthew, and his dad were there to play with. Thanks to Sean for taking one for the team!

"Things that go"
Parade
Little L goes to school
Little L was invited by X's school to join them for one of their summer school weeks. The only stipulation- POTTY TRAINED! That did it for me, I was determined! In 3 days, he was completely potty trained! Ok, that's a lie! More then 2 months later, he is still refusing to poop in the potty! He holds it until he gets his diaper on for bed time, and then just goes. He's only pooped in the potty twice, mostly because he just couldn't hold it any longer! Besides that little tid bit, he was potty trained very quickly, quicker then X!
Here is my proud little man on his first day of summer school!
Happy Birthday Daddy!
Big L turned the big 2-9! That means only 1 more year until I'll have to trade him in for a younger model! Big L's day started out with sleeping in, and then a wake up cuddle with his mini me, Little L.
The day was spent relaxing at home, and then a delicious dinner of fillet mignon and lobster. Finally, a home made ice cream cake! Boy did that frosting stain!
BUSTED!!!!
Thats right folks, this is what my husband teaches my poor impressionable boys!!! HORRIBLE! (BTW- he is going to kill me for posting this, but its great for the memories. Especially when they start saying these things, and I have proof that its his fault!)
YEEEE-HAW!!!
Well folks, its official, the boys are going KUNTRY! Since we live in the country, I figured why not embrace it with some kuntry garb! Big L's friends son had some very cute cowboy boots on, so I asked his mom where she got it from, she explained where, and that she got it for a great price. I knew there and then that I HAD TO GET THEM! 2 days later, we headed over to the store and each boy got a pair, even Baby J! They had recently attended a friends birthday party, she had a a cowboy/girl theme, and they got a bunch of neat cowboy gear there. It all worked out so perfectly for my little photo shoot! Enjoy my cute little cowboys!
Dinosaur World!
Big L wanted to buy a parachute, and after tons of searching he finally found one that he wanted to buy. Unfortunately it meant a good 3 hour drive each way to pick it up! We packed up the boys and headed out. As we got closer I began seeing signs for "Dinosaur World". I told Big L that we HAD to take the boys there, and he agreed.
After we picked up his precious parachute we headed to Dinosaur World. I wasn't sure what it was all about, but for some reason I had envisioned a drive though sight seeing type of thing. To say I was wrong was an understatement. It was more of a nature walk, meets life size Dinosaur exhibit, meets 2.3 billion bugs! What a nightmare! It was over a 100 degrees that day, and that didn't include the heat index. We had a newborn-ish baby, and no stroller, plus both parents were in long pants! We were DRIPPING with sweat about half way through. The boys enjoyed themselves, mostly. They were pretty hot too, and were definitely ready to leave, but not before they took some pictures in front of their favorite dinosaurs, which meant EVERY SINGLE DINOSAUR! Enjoy!
